Nicola Smith focuses her practice on small businesses, non-profit organizations, and homeowners’ associations. Her services include the formation of new businesses, including corporations, limited liability companies, a partnerships, and a non-profit organizations. She assists with the entire life cycle of a business after its formation, including business management, drafting documents, and litigation. Nicola provides business advice to her clients and drafting and negotiating contracts such as employment contracts, leases, vendor contracts, master service agreements, and purchase agreements.
Nicola also has significant litigation experience before state and federal courts including payment disputes, shareholder disputes, mechanics liens, and collections.

Nicola received her B.A. from the University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee. She Graduated from the West Virginia University of Law and in 2009. Prior to joining the Riddell Law Group, Nicola practiced business and tax law at Bowles Rice LP, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and commercial and business litigation at Hoyer, Hoyer and Smith, PLLC, in Charleston, West Virginia.
