Christian Riddell is originally from south Berkeley County. He graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia before attending the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Christian pursued his JD at Rutgers University and later spent time clerking for Atlantic City’s chief criminal law judge.
After his time in Atlantic City, Christian enrolled at American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, DC, where he would earn a Master of Legal Letters with dual concentrations in Civil and Constitutional Rights and Administrative and Regulatory Law.
While in Washington, DC, Christian spent time both as a lobbyist in the private sector and also as a legal fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He leverages these experiences in his practice representing clients before state and federal administrative bodies.
Ultimately, Christian decided to return to his hometown and resume the traditional practice of law. “I always saw myself as a trial lawyer, and when I ultimately decided to live up to that ambition I could think of no better place to start my practice than right where I grew up in Berkeley County.”
Prior to her election as judge, Christian worked as an Associate at the Law Offices of Laura Faircloth and Associates. Upon her ascension to the bench, Christian teamed up with Jason to take over the practice. “We are proud to carry on her legacy of aggressive, no-holds-barred trial advocacy.”
“There is no one-size-fits-all in the law. Every case has its own story, and every client has their own unique needs. What matters most is that your client knows that you understand their situation and that you will fight for them with everything you have.”
Christian has been admitted to the State Bar in West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey and New York. He maintains an active practice in West Virginia and Maryland.
